Miami Wind Energy

Miami Wind Energy Center is a 288.6 MW wind project located in the northeast Texas Panhandle near the town of Miami. Pioneer started developing the project in 2010 and it was acquired by Invenergy in 2013. The project will take electricity downstate to Texas’ largest population centers using the newly constructed Competitive Renewable Energy Zones (CREZ) transmission lines.

Pumpjack Solar I and Wildwood Solar I

Pumpjack Solar I and Wildwood Solar I are solar PV projects located on a combined 311 acres in western Kern County, California. The projects are two of Pioneer’s earliest solar developments. In 2014, the projects were sold to Duke Energy Renewables, who managed the construction process and now own and operate them. Each project generates enough clean electricity per year to power over 5,000 homes.

Logan’s Gap Wind Farm

Logan's Gap

Logan’s Gap Wind Farm is 200 MW wind project currently under construction located on over 24,000 acres in Comanche County, Texas. Pioneer began developing the Logan's Gap project in 2011. In 2013, Pioneer executed a 10-year power purchase agreement with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. for the majority of the project's electricity production and began work of a significant nature. Pattern Energy Group acquired Logan's Gap in 2014 and began construction in late 2014. The 200 MW wind farm will provide clean, renewable energy for over 60,000 homes, without using any water.

Green Pastures Wind

Green Pastures Wind is a 300 MW wind project located in North Texas between the towns of Benjamin and Seymour. Pioneer Green started developing the project in 2010, and it was acquired by Capital Dynamics in 2013. The project consists of two phases and will provide power to the North Texas region under a long-term power price hedge agreement. The project will generate enough clean electricity to power 110,000 homes while using virtually no water.

San Roman Wind Farm

The San Roman Wind Farm is a 93 MW wind project currently under construction located on 4,000 acres near the Texas gulf coast approximately ten miles north of Brownsville, Texas. Pioneer Green Energy began development of the project in 2010 and it was acquired by Acciona Energy in 2015. The San Roman Wind Farm will produce enough clean, renewable energy to power 30,000 homes without using any water.
